The Knights of Siena Fencing Academies began in 1994 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. The academy was founded by Alan Blakeborough in a small 1,000 ft commercial studio space The concept was new and revolutionary at the time. Make a fencing facility like a martial arts Dojo; a place where anyone who wants to learn the sport of fencing, can learn, and enjoy the sport. Now after 60+ facilities and 1,000's of people trained in the sport, the Knights of Siena concept is the norm in USA fencing facilities
At the Knights of Siena Fencing Academy, we believe in the power of fencing to empower individuals and foster their personal growth. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment where aspiring fencers can thrive as individuals, free from the constraints of team sports.
We are dedicated to cultivating a sense of personal responsibility and accountability in each of our students. Through our unique approach of training as a team but competing as individuals, we aim to instill in our fencers the values of hard work, discipline, and self-motivation. By emphasizing individual recognition and achievement, we create an environment where every fencer can shine and be celebrated for their unique skills.
Our vision extends beyond physical exercise, as we strive to help each student reach their maximum potential. Whether their goals lie in personal fitness or in representing our academy at national and international competitions, our experienced team is committed to guiding and supporting them every step of the way.
The Knights of Siena Fencing Academy is proud of its track record of success. With our wealth of knowledge and expertise, we are dedicated to helping our students define and attain their goals. We believe in the transformative power of fencing and are driven to provide a platform for individuals to flourish, unlocking their true potential on and off the fencing strip.
In summary, our mission at the Knights of Siena Fencing Academy is to create an inclusive and supportive community where individuals can thrive as fencers. We are committed to nurturing their growth, promoting personal responsibility, and helping them reach their maximum potential; be it in physical fitness or in national and international competition.
